KORDE

The Other Ribera

FROM ORIGIN,
TO DISRUPTION

  • A masterful expression that challenges convention and invites you to rethink Ribera del Duero from a radically new perspective.

KORDE is pure inspiration; the most creative side of PINEA. A celebration of the unexpected, bringing together four exceptional wines —a rosé, a white and two reds— whose almost confidential production underlines their singularity. Each holds a secret that only reveals itself in the glass to those who know how to listen.

If PINEA embodies a new Ribera, KORDE is its boldest impulse.

“KORDE is a new look for Ribera del Duero… A bold, defiant departure for the region”.

ROOTS AND WINGS

  • KORDE unveils what Ribera del Duero was before anyone tried to define it.

The word KORDE, of Vaccean origin, means: “The connection of hearts through words.”

  • Its etymology takes us back to pre-Roman times.
  • The Vaccei inhabited the Duero basin in the 6th century BC, and history attributes to their people the first vinous footprint of the region.

KORDE wines move in balance between tradition and the avant-garde.

  • KORDE does not seek to reclaim the past, but to connect with it in order to explore new horizons.

THE STORY

  • KORDE was never a quest; it was an encounter. Born without a compass, it forged along the way a powerful identity whose mark today is unmistakable; singular in every sense.

KORDE is synonymous with risk — and its reward is the triumph of daring.

THE LEGACY OF FORGOTTEN VINES

Those who know PINEA understand how deeply we believe in terroir, in its power to speak without words…

All four KORDE wines share a disruptive spirit and the blending of varieties. A direct consequence of their origin: They are born from old vines —ancient plants that hold ancestral wisdom, which we have sought to interpret faithfully through a contemporary lens.

The KORDE project connected us with a mission that is increasingly at the heart of PINEA:

The recovery of forgotten vineyards.

Too often, a great vineyard never finds a destiny worthy of its fruit. Its grapes fall into anonymity, their identity dissolving into impersonal blends that reflect neither the soul of the land nor the devotion of the grower.

When that happens, the origin —the terroir— fades away. It is forgotten.

KORDE made us pause and ask:

What if we could give voice to those lost vineyards that so profoundly deserve it?

The KORDE collection comprises four wines: A rosé, a white and two reds.

KORDE ROSÉ

The story of KORDE began with the Rosé. Which, in truth, is not a rosé, but a clarete. And yet, neither is it a clarete as usually understood. This is an ageworthy clarete: a long-lived wine that reinterprets the most genuine winemaking tradition of Ribera. With its complexity, freshness and vibrant personality, it astonishes and captivates everyone who encounters it.

KORDE BLANC

KORDE Blanc reveals a romance with the art of winemaking. Whoever is fortunate enough to discover one of these scarce bottles will find a true enigma. Intensely complex, the wine seems to whisper from different places —perhaps from the energies that pulse through the two vintages interwoven in its creation.

It is enveloping, abundant in aromas of flowers and stone fruit, with a creamy texture that lingers on the palate.

KORDE TINTO

An unparalleled expression of Ribera del Duero, emerging to redraw its boundaries.

This light red is a wine so singular that one must taste it to understand it. And even then, it will continue to defy expectations —in the most exhilarating way.

KORDE EL CASTILLO

— The latest creation of PINEA —

Some wines tell a story. This one embodies it.

Born in the shadow of a medieval castle, it carries in its veins the wisdom of century-old vines and in its soul the audacity of a new vision. KORDE El Castillo is the silent heir of an ancient, powerful land. A contemporary interpretation of Ribera, drawn from the deepest roots of its history; a vineyard worthy of the world’s greatest.

It does not impose, it does not proclaim. It is simply destined to leave a mark.

Why the Seal?

Because El Castillo was born different; as an inseparable echo of the terroir from which it hails.

A medieval site that defies time, captivating us with its mystique and challenging us in return. To unveil its essence became a quest, almost an obsession… To capture its story and transform it into an unrepeatable work bearing the imprint of PINEA and the heartbeat of KORDE. Bottles that hold not just wine, but a fragment of the soul of that place.

We did not seek it; it was El Castillo that found us —as if it had something to tell us. A whisper of centuries, yearning for a voice.

KORDE El Castillo is a declaration of love to terroir, a tribute to exploration, and a promise to continue writing unique stories under the “seal” of PINEA. It was never a mission, but a natural extension of who we are:

–– A passionate journey that binds past, present and future in every creation.

Its production is so limited that discovering it becomes a true conquest.

Hay historias que no se escriben con tinta, sino con raíces, visión y audacia.
